I would like to know what kind of platform used for Documentation of Lessons Learned in Highly Project based companies.

and if it is a in house based system what are the main attributes that makes a good effective system from experience.

We used sharepoint. All the projects I have completed were all highly project based companies. Some have templates to be used, for others, you can be just creative.

I have only come across sharing Lessons Learnt to the PMO or Projects Control Office with Lessons Learnt in the MS Excel templates, which is compiled and consolidated and sent back as cumulative lessons learnt.
