I attempted my PMP exam on 26th May and failed, then re-wrote on 1st of June and failed again. I'm mortified.
I prepp'ed by attending a course with a registered PMI provider, studied Rita Mulcahy's exam guide, and also ran through 3 simulated exams.
I want to try again, but I'm terrified. I will study Rita's book again, but are there any really useful online exam simulators or apps that I should use? Saving Changes...
Hi Caryl,
I am sorry to hear that.
You can take a look on these 2 on-going discussion about material to support studying for the PMP exam. I hope they are helpful and that soon you tell us all that you achieve your certification!
brilliant, many thanks Diogo. Will have a look at those threads now.

Sergio has good advice, along with others. Also, make sure you are reading the PMBOK, and not solely relying on Rita's book.
Worth to note, is it is not just about knowing the content, but being a good test taker. How was your time management?
Good Luck. Find your zen!

Hi Andrew
Good point - I need to find my zen. Normally I'm very good at taking tests, but this one really rattled me. My time tracking wasn't too bad, I finished with 20 mins to spare, made sure I wasn't running out of time. In hindsight, I think I was going to fast.

Dear Caryl, Sorry to hear that..
I'll personally suggest that dont give exam in hurry take 10 days out from your schedule dedicatedly and then give the exam. Do study Rita/PMBOK and as much questions as you can the only key to success in PMP is attempting as much question as you can either you can go for the freely available one on internet or you can go for any of the paid one like Simplilearn or anything which you easily. You can easily crack the exam. It just require little dedication. Questions are the Key, Studying never gives you confidence that you are completely prepared but questions will give. Very Good Luck you will do it.
Warm Regards

Hi Carly: My recommendation is that you aim to get at least 90% in your practice tests. Typically, I recommend at least 3 sources for questions so that you can get exposed to different voices. Further, you may want to take a few 4 hour 200 question mock exam so that you can confirm your areas of areas of strengths and weakness. You are welcome to use my company, Medhira’s PMP® mock exam (http://bit.ly/2oOLqiD) as it pinpoints areas for improvement by providing detailed analysis of your test score. All the best!
wonderful, thank you so much Anita Saving Changes...
Good advice from Ankita. Take your time, there is no rush, and you have up to 12 months to sit the 3rd exam, before applying again. So why not take as long as you need? Keep doing the simulation exams and cross referencing your wrong answers with the PMBOK and books like Rita. When you are getting over 80% consistently on the simulation exams (but don't do the same simulation exam more than two or three times), then you should be ok to sit the exam. Saving Changes...
Sorry to hear that.
You have plenty of great advices.
The exam is not about knowing by heart the PMBOK, but understanding.
Make simulation, see where you fail readagain make sure you understand the why most is logical. You should have around 80% in simulations, will give you confidence also.
Stay zen
You can ask here to clarify understanding !
