I'm ready to test for my RMP...but...I need 30-hours of Risk Management specific training before I can apply for the exam. I'm having trouble finding a course in my area and/or that meets the 30-hour requirement. Am very interested to know what other PMI-RMPs did to meet the 30-hour training requirement. I'm in the DC Metro Area and would prefer in-person training, if possible. Thank you! Saving Changes...
Hi Catherine,
Try both International Institute for Learning (IIL) or ESI, both organizations usually have a lot of classes in the DC Arlington area. ESI has an big office in Arlington right near the National Science Foundation offices.

Thank you, Susan, this was very helpful! IIL does not seem to offer any Risk Management-specific classes, but, ESI led me to a website called strategyex.com that offers a choice of two RM classes. The IT RM class looks like it will meet my needs. Thanks again for your help!

Thank you, Markus! Wow...knowledgehut does seem to fit the bill with 40 PDUs and a blended classroom +e-learnining opportunity designed specifically for PMI-RMP certification prep, thank you! I was not able to access the link you sent, but the knowledgehut site came right up. Thanks again.

ESI used to offer a 2 or 3 day risk management course as part of their GWU-affiliated masters certificate programs but webinars from an auditable source or claiming a reasonable portion of a general PM course could also be done. If you have taken a course for tools such as @Risk then that would also qualify.
Like the idea from Kiron, @risk or other risk related software. If you don’t need the coaching on risk in general that could be more effective time. Saving Changes...
