What is the difference between Computer based Testing(CBT) and Paper Based Testing?

is it difference only of fee for PMI or it is there mention in certificate, it is CBT and it PBT.

CBT means you can sit the exam via a computer system, and PBT means you will be given a paper exam to fill in with a pencil. Unless you have a really good reason for using a PBT, you should select a CBT as there are a number of advantages.

Well answer.
CBT for the PMI exams give you immediate result when you are finish. I can take the PBT if you have special requirements that required it.

As noted above. My understanding is that the norm is CBT, but a PBT is available for extenuating circumstances.

Back when I got my PMP there was only proctored PBT. Yes, it was in the "dark ages" - only offered 4 times a year, and one of those times was only offered at the PMI Global Conference.
