Sergio brings up a good point. I had also reached out to all references prior to submitting my application.

Yes that seems like a smart step to do before applying.

Interesting question.
I am curious to see if more people place their vote so that we have more data to take conclusions.

For now it is more less within my expectation.
The "outlier" is being audited more than once.

Yes it seems a lot higher percentage than the "3%" of applicants audited that my PMP course instructor told me was the expectation.

I believe the 3% to be low, but nothing close to the 40% in the pool at this point.
I was audited on one of my certification.
With the number of answer that could explain.

Yes I thought the 3% was low too, but I also didn't expect so many to be audited. I was also told it was auto-generated. So some are getting audited more than once, while others don't get audited at all. Maybe a better system would not be to re-audit someone more than once, but instead to audit someone that hasn't been audited before.

Interesting, since I was told once by an instructor that audits were around 3% of applications. This poll seems to show otherwise. Denise was audited twice, so what are the odds there? Perhaps my instructor was wrong. In my case, I was audited once, but it was my fault as I didn't fill in the forms correctly, and PMI was helpful.
I think I filled out something wrong too on one of the applications. I'm not sure about the 2nd time though.

Yes me too, on my application, I didn't follow the guidelines for the application, in that the words I chose to describe my projects weren't aligned with the "tasks" for PM's as listed in the "PMP Examination Content Outline", as soon as I re-applied, changed my project descriptions using the words and descriptions in the tasks listed there, I passed the audit.
