Hello All! I am currently an MS candidate at Drexel University for Project Management. For my discussion this week, I was asked to "contact a seasoned project manager and ask her/him what percent of the project effort should be devoted to project planning and why planning is so important."
I'd love to hear what you all think!
Thanks! Saving Changes...

The "resonable" amount of time devoted to project management is the 20%-35% of total project amount. The range depends on your project management style and organizational maturity. From that time, time devoted to planification is 7%-15%. It will depends on the same. For example, in maturity organizations you know that the project manager do not make the information needed to plan. The SMEs create the information. So, you are in the 7%. Saving Changes...
