Hi all. I think it's only fair for members to be informed about a new edition of the PMBOK coming into play early enough . I have had the e-version of the PMBOK fifth edition for a while but decided to get the hard copy so I can read it more often instead of having to open up my computer. I went through having to send my cousin going to the states to get one for me as I live in the UK and also make the necessary payment in dollars as pounds bank cards are being charged for ridiculously. After getting the 5th edition a couple of month agoI am hearing of the 6th edition release. My question now is what do I do with my 5th edition? Do I just chuck it in the bin? Will members who just got the 5th edition less than a year ago be given the new hard copy for free or at least on a reasonable discount? I am heart broken knowing I will have to purchase another copy when I have not even gotten half the benefit from the 5th edition I purchased some months back. I believe you get the benefit of having a hard copy of the book. getting the new version for free is not a fair expectation from a community relies on its volunteer services. our contribution to whom they voluntarily put time and energy to develop the 6th edition could be purchasing the hard copy of the standard to support them while taking the advantages of having the new version. The new revision will be issued soon. However, the exam will change a few months after so you either sit for the exam soon or you will have to buy the 6th edition if you wanr it in hard copy. Saving Changes...
