Dear Carlos,
Could you provide more details? Are you referring to cost or duration percentage of the overall project? Also, some industries, like Oil &Gas (large projects), they tend to split the basic engineering and detailed engineering in two separate, standalone projects. The basic engineering will form part of the final investment decision before they move to the actual detailed design and construction.

Hello, I am referring to how much would be the relation to complete the FEL stages in large projects ( 500 MM) in the OIL & GAS industries with the total cost of the project, I know that IPA has these indicators Having completed FEL stages would be The basic design package shall be sufficiently comprehensive to allow a third-party Contractor to carry out the detail design engineering, procurement/supply of equipment and shall comprise of technical data and information as required.

For example Stages FEL = 2% Total Capital Project
Detaill Engineering = 5 % Total Capital Project

I understand that this will depend on the project, but some consultancies have been collecting this type of information and have some graphics, because for example FEL stages could never be 20% of the total project capital

Thanks!
