How will this timing affect your plans for attaining one or more of these designations?

Are you planning to write the exam ahead of the deadline based on the older content or will you be one of the brave ones who is the first to write the new exam?

The Exam Content Outline (ECO) for the PMP won't be changing as that's based on a Role Delineation Study which PMI hasn't re-done for that designation. However, the ECO for the CAPM will be changing...

Stéphane -

I did a quick read of it and it does cover a lot of the foundational content which was tested during the exam. Similar to the PMP, I'd expect folks will still need to consult a few other sources, but it will likely be a significant reference.

That's good to know, Kiron. Thanks.

I had planned to appear in ACP exam before Agile Practice Guide was out and I am already a month into preparation, so I will stick with the old version. I have gone through Agile Practice Guide too and its a great source of adding to knowledge base.

I completed my PMI-ACP audit shortly before I found out about the exam change, so it's great motivation for me to get this done sooner rather than later. My personal study style has always depended heavily on practice exams, so in addition to waiting for new prep materials to be released, I'd also want to wait for the PM/Agile community to validate them. I think waiting for the new version of the exam would delay my actual testing by too long.

We always have the PDUs to cover any knowledge gaps.
