Project Financial Management

Greetings fellow PMs,

I would like to get some inputs on the best practices, tools that you have been using in order to manage your project financials/costs. Project Server/Professional is great tool, but it does comes with some limitations so wanted to check hows everyone doing.

MS Project is good, and I still use it. But to work on the data I normally put into MS Excel. Since I am also a "SAP" then I use Solution Manager to some extent too with SAP's PPM solution.
