Any recommendation for lightweight PM Tools that can be hosted on premise and not as a SaaS solution?

I just took over a new department and my different teams work on different types of projects. Some are software, some are facilities, some are marketing and some are process. I want to be able to see a high level assessment of our key projects with a tracking of high level activities and milestones, issues and risks, recent achievements and possibly some metrics. I would like this all in a dashboard type of view.

Our solution needs to be on premise and not only offered as SaaS. We don't want to use large tools like MS Project or Primavera. Just need a simple to use tool that allows customizations.

Do you all have any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

If you have SharePoint, take a look at BrightWork - https://www.brightwork.com/

How many concurrent projects are being managed? At the very low end of the spectrum you could just go with a simple Excel dashboard with columns for each KPI you want to track.

The next level of sophistication would be a SharePoint site (either native or using a third-party add-on) like Andrew is suggesting.

Lawrence,

You can also look at many solution that are free. All depends on your budget.
On Linux you can find many solutions for the backend part, that work regular PC for user.

Maybe, all you may need is a server with Excel!

Sharepoint is the one I have see the most
