Have been tasked with planning release planning meetings for various different projects. Relatively new to this so would like to know if anyone has any suggestions or tips?
To my understanding, the purpose of a release planning meeting is to commit to a release schedule for deliverables. By such and such date we will have this, three weeks after that we will have this, etc. Is this accurate?
Obviously, a timeline for the delivery of all the different requirements is needed prior to this meeting, but what else should be done?

In a world where if you do not use the word agile in everything you read or talk you are considering bad, uggly and dirty is hard to direct you to the right thing. Just to comment I am working with agile from 1990 and I worked side to side with most of the authors of the manifesto and related methods. So, my recommendation is going to agile alliance and starting there searching for the definitions. Saving Changes...
