I was notified that i have been selected for an audit when i applied for my PMP exam, i have my CAPM credentials. I sent a photocopy of my bachelors degree, a photocopy of my training certificate, a photocopyof my CAPM certificate, and 2 signed work experience references. i got a mail on Nov 20th from PMI saying "Your PMP® application audit materials have been received". its been a week and not a word or mail from PMI. i tried chatting with PMI support but they claimed to have been very busy. It was my understanding that PMI Audit take 5 business days. Should i be worried?

As per PMI
"Once we receive your application, we’ll verify that you meet the eligibility criteria and that your experience and/or education is valid and consistent with the guidelines stated in the certification handbook.
Typically the application review period will take 5–10 days, depending on the certification. Once it’s complete, we’ll email you to move on to the next step,"

And

"Audit materials will be processed within one week upon their arrival at PMI. Once we review and approve audit materials, you will receive an e-mail containing your eligibility code and exam scheduling instructions."

This means they take about a week "after receiving" the documents.
Dont worry, they will contact you.

Osifo -

My assumption is that given the March 26 switchover of the exam, there's been an increase in the number of folks applying for the exam to take advantage of the current version.

You still have quite a bit of time to schedule and take the exam before the deadline, so I'd give it one more week.

Kiron brought a good point. There must be an unusual increase these days since the version 5 is going to end in March. Just hang tight because they will reply back.

That's unusual. I received my answer the same days they received my courriered package. They must be really busy.

Keep an eye on the PMI certification page.
