I was notified that i have been selected for an audit when i applied for my PMP exam, i have my CAPM credentials. I sent a photocopy of my bachelors degree, a photocopy of my training certificate, a photocopyof my CAPM certificate, and 2 signed work experience references. i got a mail on Nov 20th from PMI saying "Your PMP® application audit materials have been received". its been a week and not a word or mail from PMI. i tried chatting with PMI support but they claimed to have been very busy. It was my understanding that PMI Audit take 5 business days. Should i be worried?

Good point, Andrew! I submitted a template for community template and was told that they wouldn't look at it until this week. Saving Changes...

I went through the PMI audit as well. I believe my audit took a week and half. I also called the help desk people and they were professional and friendly. A couple days after talking with them, I received a notice that I had cleared the audit. Given the holiday season and the new exam that is coming, I am not surprised they are backed up. Give it a bit more time and then try calling the help desk again. Good luck! Saving Changes...
PMI finally got notified me that i failed my PMI Audit. the reasons were "project domains (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing) and domain-specific deliverables are incomplete; project management methodology used is unclear". even when i provided all my experience on 2 major projects which span 4 years, where,i was the project coordinator in the first project and a Project Leader in the second project. I was also given a review feedback that "It is required that candidates show that they led and directed the project as identified with the tasks, knowledge, and skills specific in the PMP Exam Content Outline. The PMP candidate is not required to show experience leading and directing projects in all five project domains for each project, but must have this experience within the total number of experience hours and in their project deliverable descriptions." I am actually lost as i am no longer sure what PMI requires from me. so i would like to re apply as i would like to write in the first week of march 2018, can i add the latest project i managed, its duration was 4 and a half months. please is there anyone i can reach out to one-on one for guidance? Don't panic. I too failed my first PMP Audit, and the reason was due to not filling in the forms correctly with the wording PMI wanted to see. Those summaries you entered for your projects may not have been worded to accurately reflect your experience in the words and phrases PMI want to hear that will satisfy to them that you indeed have the experience you state you have.
The solution? Read the "PMP Examination Content Outline" document on the PMI website. Look at each "Performance Domain" and read the "Tasks" associated with each domain. That is the wording PMI want to see. So take your project summaries, and reword/replace them to match the descriptions in the performance domains (assuming you indeed have some of these in your past experience). This is what I did, and I passed the second audit.
The project summaries and experience I entered were exactly the same for my audit, but instead I re-phrased my summary to match the Project Domain's Task wording and phrasing. Good luck. Saving Changes...
Please assist with guidance. PMI failed my audit for a second time with the below response. I have clearly stated in my response that I reported to the head of PMO, does that not cover the "under supervision part" I also stated that I led and directed cross functional teams. I am confused with what the actual problem with my application is.
"Eligibility Not Met: Project Management Role
Perform their duties under general supervision and are responsible for all aspects of the project for the life of the project
Lead and direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources
Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to appropriately apply a methodology to projects that have reasonably well-defined project requirements and deliverables
For all experiences – the objective statement is vague/incomplete. We require a clear objective statement to discern whether the experience listed is truly a project, or if it is operational & administrative work. Using the principles of project management in operational tasks can be highly effective but does not provide the professional project management experience required for the PMP credential.
