I have completed all of my PDU's but I still have a year before my renewal date. I am getting emails telling me to renew now, but it seems to me that it will just start the clock early. Is there some benefit that I am not aware of? Saving Changes...
This is the email I received a few days ago. I had completed my PDU's back in mid-October. I get these email every so often for both the PMP and ACP.
"Dear Dinah,
Again, congratulations! You’ve earned the PDUs required to maintain your status as a PMI-ACP. You only need to finish one more critical step: submit the renewal fee. This step is needed before 28 Sep 2020 to stay certified. "
and you will continue getting these emails until you renew :) Saving Changes...

The only benefit I could think is peace of mind that you don't have to worry about it for another 2-3 years
It could be closer to 5-6 years before you have to renew, if you got all your PDUs in the first year of your cycle then the last year of the following cycle. Saving Changes...

I apologize upfront for asking silly questions. My excuse- I recently got PMP certified in Oct.
1) What is NOD ?
2) Do I have to be a PMI member to renew my PMP in 2020 ?

Take this benefit: When you take membership for the first time and after appearing PMP, if you get pass then within a same year you can earn more PDU's by PMI earn PDU program and after earning 60 PDU's, you can renew your certification in same year which will be valid for next 3 years from the end date of your current certification.
Benefit here is you save $90, since PMI members have discounted renewal price.
But keep upgrading your PMP knowledge.
Hope all doubts clear now. do upvote and cheer.

So,let say my cycle Aug2021-Aug2024,if renew early, new cycle will Aug2021-Aug2024 plus Aug2024-Aug2027..so the total now is Aug2021-Aug2027 after renewal...
