Rami, Vincent: I wrote that each time we need to open a new office or to create a new place into a market we use Scrum. I am in charge of this type of initiatives working with our Facilities division. What do you need as practical example?
What I mean Sergio, is:

1- You are talking about opening an office. When you say opening, do you mean Building / Constructing one ?

2- If yes, then how exactly do use Agile in the construction of your new office or place ?

Thanks.

Yes, I am talking about to build an office from zero. About details I can not give details because is something that belongs to my company strategy but ones again we use Scrum in the full cycle. I am saying this because talked about a method but as you read me lot of times Agile is not a method. While Lean and Agile are different things you can take Lean as an example. POINT IS: it has no sense this debate unless somebody has experienced the use of an Agile based method in the practice. Everybody that used it the in practice can imagine how to use it into any domain. ON THE OTHER SIDE. I will try to search into the PMI records about the award the project I led in 1999 received as project of the year (at this time there was more than a category). That was a home construction project where we talked Cesar Pelli ideas and we used DSDM in this case.

We normally combine Lean Last Planner system with PM practices in many different real state projects, since Comercial Buildings through Malls or Shoppings. How wrote Sergio above, we has focus in life cycle and deliverables in a short period with a sprint. Lean define eficiency indicators for our teams in the end of every sprint. Think agile and keep the eye on the life cycle plan.
