What is the general rule for rounding numbers on PMP exam?

If asked to calculate a 3-point estimate using O=27, ML=33, P=37, Which equates to 97/3= 32.33.

what would be the correct answer? 32 or 33?

I answered 32 when taking a practice exam and the correct answer was provided as 33.

Can someone explain what rule PMI expects for rounding numbers? I'd like to know before I sit the PMP exam.

I doubt if the exam would ask such a question and give two possible answer as 32 and 33, especially since it appears PMI has no rule on rounding (or do they?). Maybe you saw that in a mock exam.

I don't know about PMI rules on that.

In project context I think rounding up to the next number is a good practice.

depends on the formula you use if it is simpleor beta distribution but with beta distribution the answer would be 32.66 and when you round off u get 33
