Hello, I am curious on the community's take on the difference between the title of a Project Director vs. Director of Project Management, and the associated difference in roles and responsibilities. Kiron's explanation is similar to what i experienced in the current State Owned company i work for. where a Project Director managing mega project and has project managers responsible for the different streams reporting to him/her.
however, there are instances where the Project Director is appointed by the Project Sponsor to oversee a large ICT project, not mega. The role of this director is normally confusing for me as it seems similar to that of a Program Manager to whom the project manager reports day-to-day activities to and escalate the challenges to be addressed with the business in the absence of the sponsor Saving Changes...
