I purchased the PMP Exam Prep System 9th and received it a few days ago. I will be starting it Monday as I am finishing up my last paper for a MBA-ITPM. I am hoping that it will be helpful to me in passing the exam.
I did not use Rita, however, based on the significant numbers of positive reviews of Rita's materials from other members in the community, purchasing a Rita product for your preparation seems to be a good investment.
If I had to do the PMP again, I would certainly buy Rita's book again. It really helped me to pass the exam more than anything else.
I used Rita's questions(end of chapter) otherwise pmbok is my only reference.
Rita's book is all in one source for PMP preparation. Moreover, it's fastrack is also an excellent simulation software for preparation.
More than the book the exam simulator is useful to prepare for the exam. One can focus on any knowledge area/methods/tools.
I am also planning to buy Rita Mulachy's book 9th edition for my prep.
We are RMC Learning Solutions partner - one of the first global partners for RMC; since 2006. We use it in all of our classes. So Yes - we recommend it.
Is the 9th edition updated for PMBOK v6?
I recommend Rita Mulcahy, her book and her web simulator. If you can buy the flash cards, it would be excellent.
I prepared myself with that book and it is the best thing that I have read for the preparation of the PMP exam.
Rita teaches it easy and simple. I suggest you do the exercises and be honest with yourself.
It is an excellent investment. It remains the best seller.
