I have a burning desire to reach this milestone and join the elite in the industry.
Currently possess what I believe are all the tangibles and skill set to bring a dynamic approach to projects... but where do you start your journey? I know there are many different paths; here is what I projected, am I right? Am I wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Take C.A.P.M course.
Use associates certification (C.A.P.M) to land entry-level/assistant PM role.
Take the experience from the field and log hours.
Move into full PM role with current or other organization.
Log hours, work hard, gain experience.
Take PMP examination.
Acquire the gold standard PMP tag.

Any insight and direction is greatly appreciated - it's fueling the dream!

Hi Michael,

Your plan sounds valid. Just go ahead.
Only thing i would add is, you may consider becoming a PMI member right now. Not only that will save you some money, but it will also give you the access to the VRMS platform within pmi.org. There you may find some volunteer options that may help you gaining the needed experience hours not only for the CAPM but maybe also for the PMP exam later on.

I will send you a PM with further information.

Regards,

Markus
Markus!

Wonderful insight, was not aware of the volunteer options - I've explored a bit through the interface here and was amazed! Much appreciated.

To add, now an official PMI member as well; best wishes to you and thanks for the content.

Your plan sounds like a solid one - The best place to start is as a Project Coordinator because you will learn a lot.
Good morning Rami,

Thank you for your input, it's top in my consideration now - thanks for taking the time on the thread here.

Michael - find a mentor, find someone on this site or LinkedIn, etc. that you admire - approach them and start to learn from them. Some helpful guidance and support through your journey is invaluable and all you need to do is ask (most people are willing to help).
