We are looking to provide our users with "What-if" analysis and forcasting reports. We are currently using Oracle Discoverer for end user adhoc reporting. Does anyone out there have any suggestions for which packages are good options? I've been looking into SAS, but I'm afraid it might be too complicated for my end users.

It really depends on your requirements. Having managed several implementation projects where a package was selected without solid requirements (i didn't have the project at selection, only implementation) and also having managed selection and implementation projects - I can not stress enough how important it is to have solid requirements first. Narrow your selection and get some help in doing so (Gartner Group is great but you can also use Hoovers or similiar). Then have the vendors come in to your test lab, run through your test scenarios and perform a gap analysis getting input from users as well as your network\hardware\developer guys. Saving Changes...
