I have some clients who have heard of Agile and are interested in finding out more about it. They have limited project management experience. What is the best approach for explaining the concept and how it may be of use for them?

There are a lot of good answers here. But if I were you, before answering this question I would ask why they are interested in Agile and what their current understanding of Agile is. Then I can figure out how to answer this question would be more appropriate.

In my opinion it very much depends on the composition of the non-PM audience itself. Agile/agility by its general definition would be easy to understand for most people but how it really applies to the specific audiences’ roles and functions within the business is not straight forward. Perhaps explaining agile ‘story’ within a similar function elsewhere within the same industry (or even a completely different one to allow better knowledge retention??) may allow teams to relate what it actually means? This is a broad question indeed, needs to be narrowed down a little bit.
