We have all heard lines like this:"Analysis means paralisis. We have no time for these games. Start doing at once!". While the general approach to face this problem is straightforward, I would like to know about your personal strategies to do so.

Sometimes there is a lot of pressure to get started due to financial or legal reasons but that doesn't mean you cannot plan as you execute. I've been in a few projects where the team know the basics of how to begin so I've had to let them start work while we plan in parallel.
Nicely said! You create a "core plan" with your core team (or sometimes on your own) and then you keep planning with the rolling wave.

It sounds like a perfect recipe of disaster to proceed to execution phase without any plan.
