If you had to chose between a large company offering a decent salary and benefits and another small one offering a reasonably good salary but have great working environment in many ways, which one would you chose ?

Andrew, you love to complicate things :D (Kidding)

I tried to be specific about the scenario - You have to chose either or ? Not both, not another scenario. What's your choice ?
Haha. But tbh, it is so complicated. Primary responsibility is to support the needs of my family - so obviously salary and benefits. Though if I’m stressed and not mentally stable, that’s not good either. My point is we don’t have to choose.
To play along I’ll choose door #2; assuming benefits are good in that option too. And reasonable is relative :)

It is least likely that it would be a large company and wont have a great working environment. I would go for large company, not for decent salary but for being part of organization (most likely) based on well established processes among people who have played their role in making it 'large'.

Thanks Amir.

Being a large company doesn't necessarily mean a great working environment. I actually find the environment and team work better in small companies.

Amir, agree with Rami here. My previous employer was 40K plus. My current is just over 300. Guess which one has the better befits, salary, environment, processes and stronger PMO?

The edges are always bad, but if you have to choose something, a modest salary is better. Finally the high salary goes in taxes and you only get sick.

Size of the organisation doesn't matter, usually you interact with a limited number of people. Bigger pool to find interesting people could be a factor.

Great working environment is very important, obviously we all have bill to pay.

At this point in my life I want the cash, for I plan to use it for various investments. The knowledge that the cash will make it possible for me to pursue various interests would help me ignore the toxicity of the environment.
