I studied the PMBOK 5 for my exam. I purchased a PMBOK 6 and looked through it to find differences, but I haven't had the time and motivation yet to scour through v6 and really learn it, mainly because I'm not being tested on it (and the gray pages give me a headache).

Do you still think in terms of the PMBOK version with which you tested, or have you learned and incorporated into practice each new version as it's been published?

Know that - "Change is the only constant life", recognise it, move on and enjoy. In my opinion, it is important to unlearn and learn all the time. I have been going through 6th edition, and I suggest the same for you too.
Thank you, Narinder.

If you remain involved and a student of the profession, then regardless of the version certified under, you would at least be aware of changes occurring through the iterations. Some version changes are more significant than others. But I certainly do agree that it is important, and our responsibility, to read/skim through the new version.

I put the PDF version on my Kindle, though, with the watermark and non-responsive text size, difficult to read. Maybe I'll order the print version.

With the watermarked gray pages, the print version is still difficult to read for more than a few minutes, especially in low-light conditions. It's still on my shelf at work, though.
