Quality reports and quality control measurements - PMBOK6

Hallo everybody.
I'm studying PMBOK 6 for the exam and I'd like to get some examples about the difference between "Quality Reports" (output of Manage Quality process) and "Quality Control Measurements" (output of Control Quality process).

Antonella, there is a fine line between QC & QA I think you need to familiarize yourself with these two because one deal with quality process and the other one with product quality control.

Quality reports would summarize the outcomes of QA type activities, so for example, they might report on the effectiveness of current QC practices at meeting quality objectives.

QC measurements are the outcomes of a QC practice or procedure. For example, if we are reporting defects on a software project, QC measurements might be the weekly count of defects over a period of time.

One of the common confusions is between the control quality section and general knowledge about quality assurance. Make sure you study the difference because I recall several questions on the PMP exam about this.

"Quality reports" are new in PMBOK6 (there weren't in PMBOK5) and "Perform Quality Assurance process" was changed in "Manage quality" from PMBOK 5 to 6, but the second has a broader definition than the first: so some doubts arised.

In addition to the others and to make it simple about QA & QC
QA is a set of activities for ensuring quality in the processes by which products are developed. ... It is a proactive quality process.
QC aims to identify (and correct) defects in the finished product. Quality control, therefore, is a reactive process.

QA's objective is to PREVENT quality problems from happenning and produces quality report. QC is to identity and correct defects in the product/service/process

Quality Assurance seeks to measure the processes and systems in order to reduce defective
products. It is often used by management to make decisions on process improvements.
Quality Control seeks to measure the number or quality of the final products. It is often used
to accept or reject products

What you get from quality control meassurements could be inside your quality reports.
