What are the best practices to handle a Operations Project

I am currently handling an Capacity Planning project part of Infrastructure & Network team. This involves managing the tickets, Change request process.

What specific tools and techniques can I use to better handle the project.

Note: I have extensive agile background and I want to adapt agile. There is no process in place at the moment.
