I would like to get my PSM which would help me grow my career until I can sit for my PMP early next year. I have a CAPM. I am finishing up my Bachelors this fall. I am active in my local PMI chapter. I will be applying for their mentorship program this summer. I am really chasing this career. I am trying to network as well.

I know that certs, with an understanding of them, helps make me a more attractive candidate. I feel the PSM would be helpful. So if you have any resources or tips how to prepare for it, please let me know.

Without question. Being in this community has helped me a great deal in learning about best routes to take, ways to get ahead, and the value of networking. Making this career change has forced me to meet more people and it's been really good for me. Most people are very nice.

That’s weird that my feedback does not appear. It is not the first time this happens lately with me and others so it seems the website is acting up. This was my feedback:

As Kiron said, the PSM I is a knowledge based exam. Here is how I prepared:

https://www.projectmanagement.com/blog-pos...-PSM-I--Journey

It i knowledge based so I would advise you to read the scrum guide and some other references and go for the exam. It is an interesting subject for sure.

Good Luck.

An excellence resource for PSM I exam is the course "Pass Scrum Master's PSM I Exam On The First Try!" on Udemy.
https://www.udemy.com/pass-scrum-masters-p...he-first-try-o/

As their recommendation:
- The most important step is reading the Scrum Guide. This is the primary source of all answers for the assessment. Actually, we can pass the exam by just read it only.
- Review the Scrum glossary for quick definitions of key terms.
- Repeat above steps until we get really familiar with Scrum Guide.
- If we have time, read Scrum org’ suggested books.
- Practice with their course - “Pass Scrum Master's PSM I Exam On The First Try!”:
+ Find & fill gaps in Scrum knowledge.
+ Get familiar with the exam’s question types. The course offers a big set of questions which very similar to the real assessment with reference/explanation.
- Repeat until we can do questions fast and score 100%. During this duration, keep re-read Scrum Guide again and again.
