I have been working towards my PMP certification however my new employer wants me to utilize PRINCE2 instead. I understand this isn’t a big certification in the US so I’m having troubles finding/determining who I should utilize for training. Anyone have any suggestions or taken the training with a specific company?

Hi Ashley, there are many online training companies for Prince2. I used SimpliLearn for a couple of my training, but if your purpose is just to learn it and not get certified in it, there also many books on Prince2 and Udemy courses that are much cheaper alternatives.
Sante, I found the simpliLearn website is the most expensive.

Yes true, but they have live video classrooms which I found useful for the PMP.

Udemy offers a variety of PRINCE2 trainings at very agreeable price points.

Hai I have cleared my PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner by studying through acadgild.com.It is Much Costly(Couldn't imagine I paid $1200). In alternative you can try simplilearn they are also useful as referred by my friend.

Ashley, I agree with all my Gurus they have given you really good websites

Vincent, last time I checked for PMP certified the requirement for foundation will be waved off
Ashley -- you can check skillsoft.com I did my PRINCE2 from this web but I haven't gone for certification the fees is really high
I checked skillsoft.com and they do not offer anything related to PRINCE2.

I do plan on being certified and cost of everything isn’t really a factor. I’ve searched every company online and no one has any virtual classroom times/dates during USA business hours except PRINCE2.com at the end of June. I’m not a motivated enough person to take self-paced courses but I have started learning/studying on my own.

I figured maybe I should provide an update.... I chose to go with SPOCE OnLive course and it was great! The trainers were very helpful and did well in ensuring everyone understand the material. At first I was a little leary because it seemed like the course was much shorter then other companies but it was three hours a day for two weeks. The first week was four days and the second was only three. They also offer a guarantee for passing the first of the two exams (Foundation then Practioner). I highly recommend them!!!

Others have offered you all the needed information, but I just want to encourage you to take that examination. It is mostly meant for UK market, but go for PRINCE2. It is a much better certification than PMP. In a sense that you actually have to understand something to pass it. PMP is just a brief overview, which can be passed (I am not exaggerating, because I have done it myself, twice) just by memorizing the table of contents, and try about 20 questions from any of those Kindle books titled along the lines of "600 PMP questions" or similar.
If you do consider PMP as well at some point in the future, note that some of those example questions in such sources are nonsense, but it will give you the idea of the format of questions and timing. Biggest challenge is, as I already wrote elsewhere, is the bus stop (as in NY Port Authority Bus Terminal) environment of testing locations. You would be staying there for hours, while others will be getting in and out every few minutes.
Alleviate it by Macs silicone earplugs (under those decades old models of headphones, which do not block any sounds).
