Rick will interview James Harrington, founder of the Ugandan Water Project. James Harrington founded the Ugandan Water Project ten years ago to help you and your community here in the US to bring clean drinking water and save lives in Uganda. Bringing stakeholders from two cultures together to meet one of the most persistent problems on the planet presents a myriad of leadership challenges. Learning to navigate the tensions of American and East African values in a way that builds strong relationships and transforms lives out of poverty is no easy task. Learn about the work of the Ugandan Water Project and the lessons learned along the way through successes and failures of leading an organization whose staff and supporters span two continents and very different perspectives.
