Many organizations focus on governance as an important part of organizational risk management, and rightly so. But, a common mistake that is made is that organizations depend on risk management policies and procedures to control risks. Policies and procedures do not manage risks. People manage risks. Many project managers have to operate in an environment where risks are not understood and where reporting of risks to executive management is seen as an admission of impending project failure. How can project managers influence managers and stakeholders to become risk management champions? This webinar will discuss some key elements to building a strong organizational risk management culture and focuses on the role of project managers in influencing this cultural change.
