Project managers can use the Breathing-Bleeding-Broken-Consciousness model to stabilize the project emergency and buy time to fix the project problems. The Perception-Appraisal-Motivation-Action model aids the project manager in fixing communication problems with the project team and stakeholders.

  • Learners will be able to utilize the B3C Model (Breathing-Bleeding-Broken-Consciousness) to diagnose project problems and develop strategies to address the project problems.
  • Learners will be able to utilize the PAMA Model (Perception-Appraisal-Motivation-Action) to determine communication problems with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Learners will be able to describe how stress affects the cognitive and emotional abilities of project managers.
  • Learners will be able to explain strategies for effectively dealing with stress in constructive ways.
