Overview

In this session, we will examine the meaning of psychological safety and its importance in organizations, especially during a pandemic. The major components of psychological safety in project teams are a sense of belonging, vulnerability, trust and respect, and constructive conflicts. We will take a look at inspiring leaders and companies who have created psychologically safe teams, as well as share a personal story of creating psychological safety at work. This includes reviewing seven key questions to determine to what extent your team is psychologically safe, the importance of “mistakes”/learning opportunities in creating psychologically safe project teams, different types of mistakes, and the right approaches for each mistake type.
