Overview
The webinar will first highlight process and human factors that lead to late acknowledgement of project performance issues. The webinar will then introduce the case for a solid control system as defined by the PMI Practice Standard for EVM and ANSI/EIA-748. Finally, the webinar will describe EVM basic metrics, as well as how to determine physical progress, variances, performance metrics, forecasts at completion and variance at completion.
At the end of this webinar, participants should be able to recognize the challenges, purpose and key performance metrics of a project control system based on Earned Value Management (EVM).
Learning Objectives
The webinar is the first of two lessons and will provide an overview of an Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
