Overview
Decision-making is a dynamic process depending on a large number of project parameters and a complex project environment. Knowing that each project is unique and may have its specific factors, an analysis of the project context is necessary for an objective and reliable decision-making model. On the other hand, complex projects may present strategic importance for the project stakeholders. In the early phase of the project, strategic analysis is indispensable for identifying and analyzing the major opportunity and risk factors for making a strategic decision about the project. In this seminar, a multi-criteria decision-making process is developed in a complex project environment. This process is adapted to project characteristics, project environment, project life-cycle, project management goals, stakeholders’ objectives, project team, and corporate strategies. The strategic analysis factors are investigated in a systematic approach to make a strategic decision at several key-steps in the project life-cycle.
