In all of my project experiences, I have realised the importance of conflict management. The Conflict arises by many reasons, including: Lack Of Project Clarity Personal Ego Problem Lack Of Communication Leadership Gap These may be tangible or intangible but they hamper the project severely. I would quote my experience in this context. In one of my projects, i saw that the production person was disappointing & work was going slowly, i worked on it & found that there was a communication gap, coordination gap and a personal ego regarding the status & reporting, which caused my project delay & loss. I called a meeting of all departments & set the accountability, I instructed all to work like a team; no one is superior or inferior Try to resolve all issues at your own level If required, inform me. i will always be there. Slowly, all team members started coordinating with each other , though there were some problems at initial stage that were sorted out. Surprisingly, within 10 days, things were getting normal. The project gained speed & recovered all the time lost. This was a great lesson which i learned from my project. The Conflict Management

"We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that is in it - and stop there; lest we be like the cat that sits down on a hot stove-lid. She will never sit down on a hot stove-lid again, and that is well; but also she will never sit down on a cold one anymore." - Mark Twain |
