Discrete Effort

Note: Discrete effort is one of three earned value management (EVM) types of activities used to measure work performance).

Discrete effort is an activity that can be linked to a specific WBS output. The effort required to complete such activity can be planned and controlled by monitoring the proportion of the output delivered. The value is earned by demonstrating the progress in the related discrete effort activity.
