Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD)

DAD is part of the Disciplined Agile (DA) process decision toolkit. DAD enables incremental and iterative solution delivery. DAD builds on the many practices espoused by advocates of agile software development, including Scrum, agile modelling, lean software development, and others.

Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) is a people-first, learning-oriented,hybrid agile approach to IT solution focused, Full delivery cycle, process goals driven, risk & value driven, enterprise aware, and is scalable.

"DAD strives to provide a coherent, end-to-end strategy for how agile solution delivery works in practice. DAD is a people-first, learning-oriented hybrid agile approach to IT solution delivery. It has a risk-value lifecycle, is goal-driven, is scalable, and is enterprise aware"1

The inception phase has the following process goals:

  • Align with Enterprise Direction
  • Explore Scope

  • Develop Test Strategy

The Construction Phase

The construction phase has the following process goals:

  • Produce Potentially Consumable Solution
  • Address Changing Stakeholder Needs
  • Accelerate Value Delivery
  • Improve Quality
  • Prove Architecture Early

The Transition Phase

The Transition phase has the following process goals:

  • Ensure Solution Is Consumable
  • Deploy Solution
