In a recent Mobile Workforce Report by iPass Inc., predictions are showing a swing in the trend of workers that depend on mobile devices. It should not come as any surprise that the move to mobility is on a significant rise. A breed of independent workers have been born out of this necessity, people who know how to install and configure their own machines, troubleshoot problems, research and work out hardware solutions, etc. Having these abilities helps open the gates to a workforce that can operate with confidence remotely and not be wholly dependent upon organization talent to get them started and maintain their operations.
Part of this illustrates the rise in the number of employers looking to decrease equipment costs, reduce the need for facilities and increase productivity. The technological changes of improved connectivity and more robust features in laptops and other more mobile pieces of equipment also contribute to this move toward mobility.
