How do you prefer collaborating with team members (virtually, in person, via email only, phone, etc.)? It depends on the project needs. In person collaboration are the best because it allows immediate feedback (both verbals and non-verbals). If physical co-location is not feasible, then using technology (live streaming meetings, phone, video, etc works well). In some situation (updates, quick answers), email and even text messages work great.

In today's world, you need to be proficient at every option available.

Vitual collaboration rocks for getting geographically dispersed team members together. Saves the hassle of travel and the team can get focused, put their heads together, and move on with the day. It saves much of the horseplay of face-to-face meetings. Time is short - go virtual.

In person, face-to-face is preferred, but not always an option.

How do you prefer collaborating with team members (virtually, in person, via email only, phone, etc.)?

I find that in person tends to be the best, however not always the most efficient.

Looking forward to spending some time later this evening exploring your new website.

Collaboration in person is preferred but quite often not feasible (for me) with team members not co-located. As another mentioned, use the means that works best and sometimes this depends on who you are collaborating with.

New Website it cool; looking forward to perusing it - as time permits - today, including attending the complimentary webinar on team building and collaboration skills ...

The question I received was: "How do you prefer collaborating with team members (virtually, in person, via email only, phone, etc.)?

My preference is in person. There is just so much more you can get from a conversation face-to-face. That being said my day-to-day collaboration is largely email and virtual presence.

Well, I am proud to be a Project Manager, as long it doesn't mean whom manages the microsoft project ;)

BTW no preferences on how to contact, it will depend a lot of the customer and situation.

I prefer in-person communication; but in the interest of efficiency and effectiveness, I try to align the method of communication with the objectives.

How do I prefer collaborating with team members is dependent upon the location of the team. I have been involved my many projects with virtual teams - some were global and some national. My preference is always to be in the same location as the team. It allows me to bond with them during the project, allows the team members to feel that they are part of something bigger than themselves and provides a better method of team building. When it is not possible to meet in person, I will usually use video-conference technology - it is almost like being there. My last resort is to use conference calls/email. It is last since there isn't a way for me to read body language and communicate using all means.
