Now it's difficult to understand. Accepting mistake or not accepting it, some people accept it and lose something now and others don't accept it, and lose more(may be less but unknown).

So it is ok for those who are ready to accept unknown risks in future.

In my opinion depend what type of defects you're referring, if you are referring people I think that the big challenge is acceptance, because with acceptance is easier to solve the problem and forge ahead.
