Someone once told me the difference between hearing and listening. Hearing is when you use your ears while listening is when you use your brain!

Good one Robert. Short, crisp and profound thought. In fact, so profound that most know it but still fail to practice it.

Thanks Prabhaker. I was thinking about how we often approach amuse with a solution already in mind. Over the years I've come to find that things aren't as simple as we may initially believe they are. It's our responsibility to take the time to get all the facts before we choose a solution.

Great one.
Yes, we need to listen. Just hearing won't help my team.

A great reminder. Like Prabhaker says, we know it, but do we DO it? I've always admired people who lean in when you are talking and are totally immersed in understanding--what a skill!
Hi Robert, You are absolutely right about "coming with a solution already in mind". Buddhist saying about emptying the cup before we are ready to learn is relevant. Learning involves unlearning. If we are not prepared to unlearn, then we will never learn!
