Too funny! When I moved from the Ottawa area to Prince Edward Island, I noticed that "garage" went from being two syllables to only one.

Robert, I am trying to do write the Haiko's but I do not know to what extent I am doing good. Is the above mentioned by me considered a proper Haiko ?

If you Google "define ______", it will show the definition, plus the word will be broken out by syllables. That's how I found that Stephane was correct when I played police with him.
