I'm not sure how I feel about this haiku ...

I had a discussion with a previous boss. We had a project manager on the team who was struggling understanding our solution, and how to generate a project plan. I stated that anyone who doesn't have a high tolerance for ambiguity, has no place in project management. Projects are all about ambiguity, and sorting through lots of information to find the path forward. Does this make sense?

Robert,
Thanks for the reply, but maybe I should have included a smiley face as I was leaving an ambiguous comment to your ambiguous haiku :-)

I would add that tolerance for ambiguity is a needed trait for many (or maybe all) of those outside of PM too! I know this is a forum for PMs and that is the focus, but I think PMs are challenged to deal with expectations of certainty by stakeholders that often can not be met ...
