Rightly said. Emails are not solution, only transfer of responsibility sometimes!

It is sad that people find themselves talking to others over a keyboard:
Talk with your fingers? /
No! Use face and voice! /
And be happier.
-----
If you can't be there in person, being there virtually with a camera and voice is the next best thing:
Virtual face/voice /
Better than email for sure /
Present is better!
-----
Even so, if typing is your only option, texts are better than email. They get a fast response 80% of the time where email is down around 16%:
Texts get a response /
More so than an email will /
If presence can't do.
------
But don't overdo it!
----
Is there irony? /
In this exchange of ideas?
Using a keyboard?

I work 99.9% remote. My laptop is in a docking station, closed, with a monitor sitting on it. No camera available. Plus, the camera eats up too much bandwidth.

IMHO, Three emails are too much as time is money - One or two maximum then you should grab the phone and call if you sense there is miscommunication and / or emails are not being efficient enough.

My biggest complaint about emails stem from people's desire to fulfill on a their secret desire to be a novelist.
I find that if an email thread is confusing, a quick phone call works well, but a followup email is a good idea.
Emails should be bullet points and short sentences. They are a poor method for conveying nuance, but a good way of documenting decisions and facts.
Keep your emails short /
Bullet points are always good /
Three pages, Tooo Looong!!!!

I agree with Michael... I have seen that one...
