Depends on the tasks and how you define multitasking.

We can only engage the conscious portion of our brain on one thing. If we're writing an email, we aren't able to listen to the phone call we're monitoring. If we are knitting a scarf while on a call, we can still pay attention to the call. So any attempt to do something that requires thought, will ensure we can't pay attention to the call.

That I agree with and this is why I've mentioned depends on the tasks.

You don't stand a chance /

Of recalling what was said./

When you multi-task.

----

So get off your horse /

Your multi-tasking high horse /

And admit your're wrong!

[Not aimed at anyone]
