Join PMI Hours for Impact!

PMI aims to lead with purpose by our dedication to making a difference around the world and to advocate for People, Planet, and Purpose. This year we’re calling upon our community of changemakers to pull together in service and contribute our collective skills in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to make an impact on the world around us. As a member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), we are committed to supporting the UNGC and their mission to advocate for universal principles like human rights, labor, environment, education and anti-corruption.

As a for-purpose organization, PMI is dedicated to enabling changemakers around the world to elevate their impact on society. We believe that both protecting our planet and improving the lives of people around the world are essential for creating peace and prosperity. Hours for Impact supports the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the betterment of people’s lives and the planet, now and in the future.

Now we’re calling on our global community and setting a goal of our own: to pledge 100K hours to advance the SDGs in 2021. Join us to enable change around the world and help make peace and prosperity a reality!

Please join us for our next our next “Discover PMI - Ask Us Anything!” webinar, Leapfrogging Into the Future—How a New Perspective on Youth Will Help Us Get There, scheduled on 17 March 2021 at 12:00PM EDT. This series includes PMI guest presenters, Anja Blacha, PMI’s Vice President of Youth (as well as the youngest woman to ski to the South Pole), and Ashley Forsyth, Executive Manager of the PMI Educational Foundation.

Our world is evolving at an ever-increasing speed. Keeping up requires us to innovate and change more rapidly to find new solutions to burning issues, including strategies for empowering the next generation of youth to lead and conquer today’s challenges. So, how can a fresh perspective on youth help us to not only keep up with current demands but also bring us into the future faster, better? This webinar will explain PMI’s new perspective and the actions we are taking to embrace today’s young leaders—and how you can do the same. Join us to learn:

  • Why we all benefit from rethinking youth.
  • What PMI is doing to engage and strengthen youth around the globe.
  • How you can help amplify this effort in a local and global capacity.

Both Anja and Ashley will be on hand to answer your questions, discuss your thoughts and provide perspectives on the future we need to embrace right now.

As you may know, the format of this series of webinars is executed through FREE, non-PDU bearing webinars, meant to encourage conversation with various PMI departments. Simply put, community members, like yourselves, having a one hour Q&A session with a particular PMI department.

New PMI Volunteer Initiative: PMImpact

Categories: social good

In response to these uncertain times, PMI and our communities around the globe are in a unique position to help. Knowing the power project managers have to make ideas a reality, we are launching a new social good campaign starting 29 April – PMImpact.

This initiative aims to make a positive impact throughout the world by encouraging and empowering you, our global community of passionate project professionals, to use your skills to aid communities and individuals impacted by COVID-19.

Visit our new PMImpact microsite to see how you can volunteer and share your own unique stories of volunteerism and positive impact.

You can contribute in two ways:

1.  Complete a quick submission form
2.  Share your story on social media using the hashtag  #PMImpact

We’ll be selecting stories to share on our PMImpact microsite, and resharing on our social media channels.

As project managers, we get stuff done and in times of crises, we roll up our sleeves to do whatever we need to help. Every little bit helps.

If you have any questions, please send an email to [email protected].

We can’t wait to hear your stories!
