Format: Report

Return on investment (ROI) is a calculation of the increased profits yielded by a project weighed against the costs of conducting and supporting the project. The calculation should measure short-term and long-term ROI. It should also reflect the annual ROI for each year during a period of X project years, as well as the cumulative ROI for the entire period. Here is a spreadsheet that will help you arrive at all the ROI calculations you need to present a well-supported business case to management, based on the numbers they will want to see.
