Format: Specifications/Procedures

The Statement of Principles is a core set of beliefs held by the organization that governs the package evaluation and implementation process. It highlights where compromises can and cannot be made in selecting a package. Use this template to define application package selection principles and constraints according to the following criteria:
  • Where to leverage resources
  • Estimated life of solution
  • Criticality of time frame
  • Degree of customization required (including adaptation of business to package)
  • Requirements driving selection criteria
  • Functionality vs. integration issues
  • Vendor and product reputation
  • Compliance to standards
