Once the work breakdown structure and the schedule are defined, this document can be used to plan and monitor the costs for each individual activity or work package. This template lets you subdivide an activity or work package into smaller parts (cost items). For each of these cost items, you can plan the corresponding costs in detail. The total cost of each work package is automatically calculated. Once the work actually starts, this template lets you document the real cost of each cost item. The difference between the planned cost and the real cost is calculated for you. This difference indicates whether your project costs are higher or lower than you planned for.
